BEE-U-TIFUL

Greetings and happy May! It's Kathi here to share a bright and cheerful card with you created with Tracy Scott's Rubber Cling Mounted Stamp Set 59 by PaperArtsy, the Honeycomb Stencil by Darkroom DoorSundance Elements Ink by Lavinia Stamps, and Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Tsukineko.

Here it is!

I used my stamping platform and Memento ink to stamp the beautiful bee from Tracy Scott's Rubber Cling Mounted Stamp Set 59 onto a 6" square piece of white cardstock and onto repositionable label paper. The label paper version was fussy-cut and placed over its counterpart on the image panel.

Sundance Elements Ink by Lavinia Stamps was lightly brushed over the masked image to add a yellow background. The Honeycomb Stencil by Darkroom Door was placed diagonally over the the image panel and Sundance Elements Ink was brushed more heavily over the stencil onto the image panel. The stencil wasn't quite large enough to cover the entire image panel, so I shifted it down towards the right bottom corner, taking care to line up the hexagons, then brushed Sundance Elements Ink over the stencil again.

The mask over the bee was lifted and retained for a later use. Copic markers were used to color the bee.

Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Tsukineko was used to stamp the hexagon with the matching flower from the Tracy Scott's Rubber Cling Mounted Stamp Set 59onto yellow cardstock and heat set. The hexagon was fussy-cut then edged with black pen.

The image panel was trimmed, adhered to blue patterned paper, then to a 6x6 yellow card. The two hexagons were adhered as shown. The sentiment was trimmed from patterned paper, matted on a black flag die-cut, and adhered to the card.
