Working hard- An Easter card tutorial

Hi all.  MEL PILLING  here with a 3-D Easter card. These LAVINIA  bunnies are hard at work preparing for Easter deliveries.

This week I’m doing a simple 3-D Easter card. The instructions for the 3-D card itself are in the picture above. Two parallel slices across the centre of the fold of your card, can create a nice little box to attach characters to.

The background scenes were painted with a paint brush, using ELEMENTS INK  pressed onto the craft mat.  The colours I used were  DELLA BLUE
BLUE LAGOON ,  PINE ,  LIME PUNCH,  GREENSLEEVES  and  CONFETTI.  The trees were painted roughly with the side of a flat paint brush.  I masked the hillside with a piece of torn paper to keep the hillside clean.  Try to roughly match the hill lines and tree lines on the egg to the inside of the card.

The white hares were stamped directly onto the background,  then again on clean Bristol card. The spare hares that I did on the Bristol card  were painted with watercolour markers, and then fussy cut and glued onto the project over the previously stamped images.  This way your hairs remain very white on the background.  The other hares were all done with VERSAFINE CLAIR INKS  in.
NOCTURNE then highlighted  with a white gel pen.

The flowers were stamped in  VERSAFINE CLAIR INKS  in  BLUE BELLE and  CHARMING PINK .  Then I added shadows below the hares and  the tree line.

Once all your artwork is done and dry,  you can attach your 6 inch egg shape to the front of the box on the inside of the card. The second card is to cover the outside, so you don’t see the box. Then mount your card front.
