Happy Holidays!

Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. This week my teammates and I are getting ready for the winter/Christmas celebrations.

I created a card with the Fox in Window Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp by Katzelkraft, a sentiment from the Roundabout Sentiments Clear Stamp Set that was cut with the coordinated Curved Banner Die by Heffy Doodle. The a subtle background was created with the Small Backgrounds Stencil PS108 by Scrapcosy for PaperArtsy and Jersey Cream Prism Ink by Hunkydory Crafts.

Here it is!

Memento ink was used to stamp the  Fox in Window Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp onto white cardstock and onto repositionable label paper, which was fussy-cut to mask the stamped image.

Jersey Cream Prism Ink, which is a very pale yellow, was brushed over the image panel, then again over one of the patterns on the Small Backgrounds Stencil PS108. This created a very, very subtle pattern on the background of the image panel.

The mask was lifted and the image and wood floor were colored with Copic markers.

Black Hybrid ink was used to stamp the Happy Holidays sentiment from the  Roundabout Sentiments Clear Stamp Set onto green vellum, which was then cut with the Curved Banner Die.

The image panel was trimmed, matted with a green vellum scalloped rectangle, and then adhered to a green A2 card. The sentiment die-cut was adhered to finish the card.

Mini Santa Mail Art Journal Page

It is time for some Christmas/Winter fun on the blog today. Karen Bearse here with a mini art journal page. This season can be busy, fun & stressful so getting your art on can often be the best thing to do! You can find the tutorial on my blog here.

Here is my art journal page. I wanted it to have that junk journal vibe. I challenged myself to make all the ephemera using stamps & stencils. Amazing that can be done.

It was one of the pages that came from a recent Notepad book I made which you can find here. I encourage you to make your own mini art journal so there is a place to put your work.

If you don't want to make a journal you can find a wonderful one here. Is is 4x4" so nice and small to get started in. The paper is nice & mix media heavy.

This page started as a Gel Press page. Using Fresco Finish Paints & a touch of metallic paint.

This circle stencil was the main image used on the background. I also used this on deli paper with snow white Fresco Finish, then stamped on it to create a slightly translucent element for my page.

If you can only get one set for Christmas fun this is a great one!

This one has lots of wonderful Holiday quotes.I hope you have a lovely week & you get some time to get inky!

Mixed Media Tags

I hope you all had a wonderful week. Ericka from Strangely Creative here with a couple of tags I made using left over gel press prints. I used a variety of Topflight Stamps supplies to create a layered tag look.

To start, I used the Darkroom Door Abstract 07 and 08 with the Lavinia Elements inks and then added the Carabelle Studio Mixed Media Strips 2.

I then added some texture paste using the Paper Rose HUD stencil and sprayed it with some Distress Ink spray.

To finish my tag, I added the sentiments from the PaperArtsy Alison Bomber Life & Living set and white heat embossed them.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

CAS Christmas Cards with Cornelia

      Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today!
This week it's anything goes. A great way to increase my Christmas card pile!

I stayed completely CAS here. I stamped the postage stamp, masked it a bit for the elephant and the giraffe and stamped the animals inside it. Colored them with Copics. The sentiments are from the same Craft Emotions set.

Colored them with Copics. The sentiments are from the same Craft Emotions set.

Here you can see all the cards separately. I added the little star for the elephant afterwards, no masking involved and put some Stickles on it.

A quick and easy way to grow your holiday card pile/

I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.
See you next week with more Topflight Stamps inspiration.

Watson Elephant by Katzelkraft

Hi, Connie here with a fun card using the fun Watson Elephant by Katzelkraft.
The background, for the card, is using another fun stamp by
Paperartsy and Sara Naumann called ESN 45.  I thought
these two stamp sets paired together really well.

The background is created using Distress Oxide inks and some texture
paste. That is always fun to create with!! Love the dimension that texture
paste adds to a project.

Watson Elephant is colored with Distress Oxide grey ink, then
trimmed out and added to the card front.  I stamped randomly with
the ESN 45 set and the Les Nombres by Katzelkraft. Another really neat
stamp set to enhance a card background.  Giving a fun mixed media style!!

The sentiment is embossed with Opaque Bright White by WOW, trimmed
out in word strips and added to the card front.  I used dimensional
adhesive to give a pop to the focal images. Twine was added at
the bottom of the card.  This is about a 5"x5" size card.

Day of the Dead Card

It's Tuesday which means it's Kathi here to share a project with you. It's the second day of the Día de los Muertos celebration, which is a wonderful Hispanic tradition whereby relatives and friends who have passed away are remembered and their lives celebrated. Imagery associated with the holiday include Sugar Skulls.

That's Crafty's fabulously versatile Small Elements Stamp Set 2 contains a small, but lovely, Sugar Skull which is featured in my slimline card.

The Sugar Skull Small Elements Stamp Set 2 by That's Crafty was stamped three times, colored with markers, masked, and brushed with Pine Elements Ink.

White cardstock was die-cut with the largest die from the Essential Rectangle Frames Die Set.  Confetti and Sundance Elements Inks were brushed over the Abundance Stencil 85 by AALL and Create onto the white die-cut to create the background panel.

The background panel was die-cut to create three windows to house the sugar skulls. The cardfront was matted with green patterned paper, and adhered to a yellow card.

A sentiment was stamped onto a white die-cut banner with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink by Tsukineko, then adhered to finish the card.

13@rts Steampunk and Autumn Bird Scene Cards

Hi friends!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you wishing you a happy November!  This is my favorite time of year and I hope the season is treating you well.  Today I'm happy to share this pair of fall cards I made with Distress Inks and the gorgeous collage stamp by 13@rts.  I used Gathered Twigs, Tea Stain, Rusty Hinge and Antique Mahogany.  The stamp has an eye in the collage and I covered it up with a fussy cut inky leaf.  I then stamped an ages old wood "autumn" stamp onto a stenciled panel from the Darkroom Door Checkered Small Stencil.  I used tiny staples to attach the word strip.

I made a second pair of cards featuring the Perching Bird stamp by Crafty Individuals.  I just love this adorable stamp!  I'm in such a bird phase lately.

I used Distress Inks to sponge the hills and moon.  I used a torn sheet of paper to mask the hills and a circle cut from a post-it note for the moon.  I used Aged Mahogany, Rusty Hinge and Crushed Olive.  I watercolored the bird and mounted it above the scenery.  I used way old wood mounted stamps from my stash to build the scene.  They were fun to make and I hope they give you the fall feels.
