Washi Tape as the Star

 Hi friends. Alanna with you today sharing a fun birthday card where some fabulous washi tape is the star of the show. 

To get started, I took the Presents & Cupcakes washi tape from Leane Creatief and added several rows of it to a piece of white card stock. I trimmed the panel down to trim everything up. I matted this panel onto a piece of black card stock which was then added to a white A2 notecard.

I stamped the large birthday sentiment from the Birthday Wishes set from Visible Image onto a scrap piece of white card stock. I then added a sub-sentiment from the More Classic Sentiments set from Heffy Doodle. I trimmed this panel down and added more card stock behind it to add dimension. 

I decided it was getting a little lost on the background, so I took a red Copic marker and went around the edges with it. This added just enough color to help provide some lift. Some red gems from my stash finish off this card.

Christmas Owls

Hello, Topflight fans! I have two cute holiday cards for someone. Who? You!

My first card using the Leane Creatif Popco Winter Owl in a very clean and simple card. 

The images are watercolored and the For the Love of Stamps O Christmas Tree sentiment stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.

The second card took more planning. I stamped the Leane Creatif Owlie Elf and colored it up with Copics.

I then masked the Leane Creatif Owlie Elf image and stamped Magenta Holiday Text with Prism Ink Red Chili.

Doesn't that Prism Ink Red Chili pop? I added a strip of striped paper and glitter washi to finish off the card.

I tried out the new Prism Inks that are being carried at Topflight Stamps now and I really like how they stamp and blend! I will have to increase my collection of colors lol. I also added an Action Wobble Spring underneath the fussy cut robot cat. It was really easy to apply and wobbles quite nicely. ;-)

Zentangle and Copic Coloring a Butterfly

The Leane Creatief  "Doodle Butterfly 2" stamp is deceptively simple and yet so beautiful! And the open spaces in the sections of the butterfly are perfect for zentangle art as well as traditional Copic or color pencil coloring.

This is the first time I've tried zentangling (is that a verb?), and I am in love! It truly is very zen to sit and doodle and try different designs and patterns. Using Faber Castell Pitt Pens in XS, S and B point sizes, I had a blast making each butterfly I stamped onto a card front unique. 

Then to add some color, I used a Copic B00 to color the spaces between the butterflies and a couple of color pencils to add some depth of color in the nooks and crannies of the butterfly wings.

I separately Copic colored a butterfly with a few other blue markers, adding some dot details with a Signo Uniball White Gel Pen. Fussy cutting out this butterfly and adding some foam dots behind the wings, I popped this butterfly onto the card base that I first layered with a smaller sheet of vellum for some visual softness. I secured the vellum to the card base with glue just under the butterfly and under strategically placed sequins.

As this is a Fathers Day card for my dad, for the sentiment I heat embossed "Thank You" in Korean from the Altenew Oriental Orchid Stamp Set. I popped this up on foam dots for some dimension and took this opportunity to tack down the vellum in hidden spots again.

Although might not think of a butterfly stamp for a masculine card, I think the black and white graphic nature of the zentangling and limiting the actual coloring to blues, made this beautiful but totally appropriate for a Fathers Day card. Topflight and Leane Creatief - Two Ways to use one set!

Hi everyone and welcome to the Topflight Stamps blog.  It's Jenny here, and today I'm showing you how to create two very different cards with the same set, by changing up the colors.

The stamp and die set I'm using today is by Leane Creatief and are the Boxes Presents dies and the On the Move stamp set. 

To create my first card, I used a panel of Kraft cardstock and stamped the various key images all over the panel randomly in dark brown ink.  I then stamped the 'new home' teeeeeny sentiment in lighter brown ink.  I die cut the box dies from kraft and also made sure to emboss them in my die cutting machine as well to get a good impression of the folded sides. 

I blended Vintage Photo Distress ink over the edges to create a shadow, then popped them up on foam tape onto the panel, using a double layer for the box at the front.   I also added some more of the tiny words onto the boxes in black ink.  I heat embossed the New Home sentiment in gold embossing powder on black cardstock and trimmed it out, adhering with foam tape.   The entire panel was backed onto a card base.

For my next card,  I added some water into the centre of a panel of watercolor cardstock and loosely dabbed on Distress Ink in Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet, allowing them to blend.  When it was dry, I added it to a card base. 

I die cut the box stack out again, from a piece of cardstock I had watercolored with pink ink and spattered with water.  I edged it with Wilted Violet distress ink to create a shadow, and then added glitter gel pen for the ribbons.   I popped it up on the panel with foam tape.  The bow was die cut from navy cardstock and adhered directly to the box stack, and I added a liberal coating of Wink of Stella and Glossy accents for dimension.   

To finish, I added 'streamers' in glitter gel pen by hand, and heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder onto a left over scrap of the same cardstock I cut the boxes from, and popped up on foam tape.  The 'You Are' was stamped in black ink directly to the card base.

Masculine Birthday Card Using Leane Creatief & Katzelkraft Stamps

Welcome to the Topflight Stamps Blog!

This week we are focusing on Masculine cards. I've got a birthday card I made for a friend of mine who loves soccer. 

I used a panel of card stock that I had covered with PaperArtsy Infusions and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks. I heat embossed the soccer balls using Martha Stewart black embossing powder and colored in the soccer balls with a white Kirarina Wink pen. Then I trimmed the background because it was quite overpowering and added a white panel behind it. The sentiment is from a Katzelkraft Holiday Sentiments Stamp set. I thought it was a great font for this masculine card. I just matted the sentiment strip with some black and white panels. I inked all the white card stock with the Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. 

This stamp set is so versatile for men and boys who love sports!

For You Doodling Trees

I stamped the tree in brown ink then colored with markers.

The panel was matted with cardstock then I used a gel pen to doodle on the tree.

Placing the panel on a green card, I added a die cut "For You" to the right side.

Celebrate everything with pink Champagne

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new weekly Topflight Stamps post.
This week I am going to share my new card made with Leane Creatief most gorgeous doodling stamps and it;s really my very first time ever to use a Champagne bottle and a glass stamps on my creations.

 I made a very general Congratulations card in just two tones- pink and black and white and it fits for several events, such as a weddings, Birthdays and just general celebrations of whatever you want to celebrate.

The card layers were made with dies and one was also dry embossed with a kind of bubbles.

The stamped images were heat embossed with black embossing powder and then colored with pink and grey watercolors.
I made white pen doodling over the grey color and black pen doodling over the pink.
The yellow color is actually gold pen, but hard to see the golden sparkle on the photos.
The only embellishments added are those dark pink rhinestones.
 The sentiment die cut was cut twice and glued one over another for the contrast.
Here is the stamp set I used to make this card and you sure can see how different it looks if you use different colors for the bottle and for champagne inside.

Pumpkin Paper Piece with Leanne Creatief

Hello Inky Friends, Karen Bearse here, welcome to Topflight Stamps! The Design Team are playing with Leanne Creatief stamps this week. These stamps are uniquely designed to be doodled with but I came up with a different way to play.

I am still in the art card mood so I made this one from an index card. My background was a simple water color with a bit of stencil work & stamping using Distress Ink. 

I got to play with the Pumpkin Stamp or as I like to call them pumpkin pie eggs. I stamped on different scrapbook papers & cut them out. 

After stamping the image on an orange piece of scrap paper, the pumpkin was reassembled & glued back together. 

I also added in some background stamping on my index card with Indigo Blu using the Shine Bright set.  This was a simple but effective way to use this stamp. You can check out more of my art & techniques on my blog. Thanks for joining me today & have a great week!

Fall Pumpkins

Welcome to the Topflights Stamp blog.  Steph Ackerman here again showcasing stamps from Leanne Creatief - Doodle Clear Stamp Pumpkin.

I cut layers for the base of my card and inked all edges with Distress Ink.   Fall was die cut from Rinea Foiled Paper using my Cricut Expression.  

I stamped the pumpkin in black ink and colored it with Copic Markers before fussy cutting it.  Fall was added to the card on a slight angle and the pumpkin was added to the corner.

Thanks a bunch doodled card

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my weekly Topflight Stamp shop post.

This week the design team was challenged to work with a doodling range of stamps from Leane Creatief range originated in Netherlands.

This is my very first time to doodle anything, so it took me quite awhile to get the proper doodling pen.

And after a few tries the pen of choice is Pigma Micron 0.1 black pen.

 Here is the stamp I used to make this card: Flower Pot

The sentiment I used is from For the Love of Stamps Barrow of Blooms set.

I made the stamped background with the same stamps using white pigmented ink and white embossing powder over Kraft cardstock and then colored the images with distress markers.
The main image was stamped over white cardstock with black ink and heat embossing and then colored with the same distress markers inside.

Then I doodled over each piece of the stamped image and tried to make each petal different.
