Tea Time!

Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. If you haven't visited Topflight Stamps recently, I urge you to click on over to see all the wonderful new products.

Here's my card created with the gorgeous tea pot from the Tea Time Rubber Cling Stamp Set by Mistrahl for Carabelle Studio. Since there was a moon and stars on the teapot, I chose to create a background using the Stardots Stencil by Craft Emotions and Alchemy Symbols Stencil by Stamperia with SundanceConfetti, and Della Blue Elements Ink by Lavinia StampsCheerful VersaFine Clair Inks by Tsukineko, and Wishy-Washi Washi Tape 19 by Janet Klein for AALL and Create.

Here it is!

The teapot was stamped with Copic friendly ink, fussy-cut, colored with Copic markers, then edged with a dark marker.

White hybrid ink was brushed over the Stardots Stencil by Craft Emotions onto navy cardstock. When the ink was dry, I brushed SundanceConfetti, and Della Blue Elements Ink by Lavinia Stamps randomly over the white inked stars.

The same ink was brushed over the Sun and Moon row on the Alchemy Symbols Stencil by StamperiaCheerful VersaFine Clair Ink was brushed onto the suns, then white pigment ink was brushed onto the moons.

The stencil was lifted and the background was heat set.

The white hybrid ink was randomly brushed from the edges towards the center. When dry,  SundanceConfetti, and Della Blue Elements Ink by Lavinia Stamps were brushed onto the white to add a bit of color to the background.

White pigment ink was used to roughly edge the panel, then pounced around the panel using an odd tool I have that looks kind of like steel wool attached to a wooden handle.

The panel was heat set again, then Wishy-Washi Washi Tape 19 by Janet Klein for AALL and Create was adhered to the bottom of the panel.

The fussy-cut tea pot and splash were adhered to the background as shown.
