It's Tuesday, which means that you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. Did you know that February 1st is Spunky Old Broads' Day? Neither did I, but as an official Medicare-card carrying "Old Broad", I decided to make a card for a friend, who is also a Spunky Old Broad.
I've used two of the ladies and the cake/table stamps from the Tea Time Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set by Katzelkraft. The background was created with the Glory Stencil by Lavinia Stamps and Spring Meadow Prism Ink by Hunkydory Crafts.
Here it is!
The two ladies were positioned on my stamping platform and stamped onto white cardstock and onto repositionable label paper. The label paper versions were fussy-cut and placed onto their counterparts as masks.
The cake and table stamp was positioned and stamped twice, once onto the image panel and once to make a mask, which was fussy-cut.
A ruler was placed horizontally over the bottom of the image panel to ground the images. Spring Meadow Prism Ink was brushed over the background to color the white cardstock, then over the Glory Stencil to add visual interest.
The ruler was flipped to cover the top part of the image and Copic friendly ink was brushed over the the ruler to cover the base of the image panel.
The masks were lifted and the images and floor were colored. Gold glitter pen was used to highlight the earrings on the lady on the left. Purple glitter pen was used to highlight the earring on the lady on the right. Several layers of Clear Glaze pen were added to the necklace of the lady on the right and onto the cherries to add dimensional glossy shine to those elements.
Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink was used to stamp the sentiment from the Wisecracks Clear Stamp Set 489 onto white cardstock. This was die-cut with a speech bubble die.
A piece of patterned paper from the beautiful new Bloom and Wild 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad was cut to 4.5", which was then cut into strips as shown.
All elements were adhered to a piece of 6.75" x 4.75" blue cardstock, then adhered to a blue 5" x 7" card.
