Greetings! It's Kathi here on a Friday rather than my usual Tuesday. The lovely Ericka helped me out by switching days with me as I was unable to get to my craftroom due to a minor accident. This week my teammates and are are making projects with stars! I've created an art journal page with Visible Image's Angels Clear Polymer Stamp Set, AALL and Create's Reverse Stars Clear Stamp #485 and Scripted Stars Clear Stamp #458, with the Lavinia Stamps' "Let your spirit take flight" Clear Polymer Sentiment Stamp.
Here it is!
I recently created a galaxy background using VersaFine Clair Ink by Tsukineko and decided to try to make another one with Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps to see how they compared*! I used Lavinia Stamps Blenders to blend Confetti, Blue Lagoon, Violet Chalk, and Graphite Elements Inks onto Mixed Media paper. When I was happy with the background, water was misted overtop then heat set to create speckled background.
Graphite Elements Ink was used to stamp Scripted Stars Clear Stamp #458 by Bipasha BK for AALL and Create on the top left and bottom right. Reverse Stars Clear Stamp #485 by Autour de Mwa for AALL and Create was stamped with the same ink on the top right and bottom right. Mini Star and Bursts Clear Polymer Stamps by Lavinia Stamps were stamped to fill in the borders between and betwixt. The panel was heat set.
Using a stamping platform, the large angel from the Angels Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Visible Image was stamped with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Tsukineko, then heat set.
The panel was trimmed to 4.75" and edged with Graphite Elements Inks.
"Let your spirit take flight" Clear Polymer Sentiment Stamp by Lavinia Stamps was stamped onto black cardstock with Paradise VersaFine Clair Ink by Tsukineko, embossed with Detail Silver embossing powder, then die-cut.
The sentiment die-cut was popped up in the center with dimensional foam adhesive then adhered to the background panel.
Midnight Black Prism Ink by Hunkydory Crafts, which is a very deep black, was used to ink a 1" border around the journal page, which was then heat set.
The last step was to adhere the image panel to the journal page.
*FYI, the VersaFine Clair Ink background was slightly more vivid. Both inks blend beautifully!
