Skull Buggy for Halloween!

Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here today. My teammates and I are sharing Autumn and/or Halloween projects this week. I love Halloween, so I've created four tags with the Skull Bugs Clear Stamp Set by Melina Dahl for That's Crafty.

Here they are! By the way, they're all the same size in real life.

Each pair of backgrounds was created by shaking some Black and Brilliant Red Brusho Crystal Colours onto damp mixed media cardstock, then spraying them with Black Soot Distress Oxide Spray and water. More of the Brusho Crystals were added here and there and sprayed with water. White Seam Binding was used to sop up the excess inky goodness.  All four pieces of cardstock and the seam binding were heat set and die-cut to create the tag fronts.

The skull-spider , the skull-dragonfly, and the skull-ladybugs were stamped directly onto the tags. The skull-ladybug and the skull-butterfly were stamped onto white cardstock, fussy-cut, colored and added later.

White or black ink was stamp the backgrounds to add more detail.

If you'd like to learn more about the creation of these tags, please visit my blog, Kat's Tales of Stamping, for complete supply lists and detailed instructions.

Autumn Theme on Mixed Media Monday

Hello Topflight Stamps Fans, Karen Bearse here today with a lovely autumn card/tag. This week the Design Team is playing with all things fall or autumn. For all the details on how I made this shimmer card of fall head over to my blog, & see my tutorial here.

I love to recycle as you know & this tag was made from the packaging of the Distress Mica Stains. It makes for a nice sturdy base that is a good size to add some Autumn like stamped ephemera. Bonus you make something beautiful!

The focal image of my card is the smaller mushroom on this PaperArtsy set by Kay Carly. The 2 smallest shrooms were used too.

The background stamps were from this set by Sara Naumann - ESN43

For a good spider web stencil look no further then this one.

The quote & one of my favorite fall sets is this Autumn Nights by Indigo Blu. So many great images.  I wanted to add the crow & embossed one but it was too dark on my background, maybe I should have added some leaves.

Don't forget the inks!! Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you get the chance to get inky.

Darkroom Door Tall Flowers Silhouette Stencil

Hi everyone!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share a slimline card made with the new Darkroom Door Tall Flowers small stencil.  This stencil is part of the new release that just landed at Topflight Stamps.  I've been in the mood for some good inky fun, so I made an ink dipped background with Rustic Wilderness and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide, then sponged through the stencil in the same colors.  I added a fussy cut butterfly and sentiment from the Spread Your Wings stamp set, with some twine for dimension.  I hope you're inspired today and will check out these fab new stencils.  Hugs, Autumn

PaperArtsy Card with Lynne Perrella Stamp Set

Hello everyone! Lisa Hoel here this week! Have you been enjoying our focus on the PaperArtsy brand? (Which I love!) Their stamps, paints and mediums are fabulous to create with. One of my favorite designers of theirs is Lynne Perrella and I had a new stamp set that needed to see some ink!

Lisa Hoel for Topflight Stamps - focus on PaperArtsy and creative goodness! #topflightstamps #creativejuicefreshsqueezed

I began with creating a background with Distress Spray Stains and a little pinch of PaperArtsy Infusions Dye powder (Golden Sands). Infusions are intensely strong grains of dye pigment and a little goes a long way! After that I stamped the images and then colored them with watercolor paint. I also stamped in the background to add more visual texture.

Thanks for stopping by! Keep an eye out here on the Topflight Stamps blog as the talented Design Team has something new for you to see nearly every day! Visit the Topflight Stamps store for a wide selection of art stamps and supplies from all around the world. PLUS, now through Sunday there is a 20% off sale in the Fall/Halloween collections.

Paper Artsy - Hopping You have a Great Day

Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today!
This week we are featuring Paper Artsy. They have different designers. I went with Elena Zinski - I love her whimsical style.

I used a page from a Polkadoodles paper pad for my background. Stamped the rabbits and colored them with water brush pens and markers. Stamped the sentiment. Trimmed the cardstock, cutting out the big rabbits ears a bit and added a strip of patterned paper on the side, which I sponged with pink first.

I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.
See you next week with more Topflight Stamps inspiration.

And here are the stamp supplies I used:

Cardmaking with PaperArtsy using Gel Press Prints

Hi, Connie here with some Gel Press prints, from my stash, to
create cards from. I'm using PaperArtsy stamps, by Sara
Naumann, as my focal for the cards.

I used the Gel Press, Fresco paints and a texture plate by Carabelle Studio.  Both cards
are created in the same manner just different stamps.  Using a stamp platform the
bird images were stamped on the card front.  Versafine/Onyx Black ink was used
for this.  To get a rich black image you will need to re-stamp several
times.

Card #1 ~
This card is using the ESN 34 by PaperArtsy.

Card #2 ~
This card is using the ESN 52 by PaperArtsy.

The sentiment is added and just because I
thought it would look cool I added real postage stamps to the focal
cluster.  I love the eclectic look!!  Washi tape is added to the bottom of
both cards, bringing in more color.

There's No Place Like Home!

Greetings! It's Tuesday which means you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. This week my TFS teammates and I are showcasing PaperArtsy's wonderful products.

Since it's still summer and I needed a card to accompany a house-warming gift, I wanted to use my whimsically gorgeous floral house stamps by Kay Carley. There are several stamp sets and a bunch of coordinating stencils in this collection that are on my wish list. You should check them out. You'll be glad you did.

This project took a left turn somewhere and I ended up creating something competely different than I had planned. I had planned on using my beloved Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic paints with this set and was going to create a slimline card. However, the flower house was wider than I thought, which did not leave room for those gorgeous trees.

So instead, I created an 5.5" x 8.5" card using the house, trees, and one of the sentiments from the Eclectica Rubber Cling Mounted Stamp Set (EKC34) with the stone path from the Eclectica Rubber Cling Mounted Stamp Set (EKC35). Watercolors, in the form of pens and pencils, the clouds from the Great Outdoors 6x6 Stencil by Polkadoodles, and Periwinkle and Pink Jellybean Prism Inks were all used.

Please visit my blog, Kat's Tales of Stamping, for step by step instructions, links, and complete supply lists.
